For the first time, I truly noticed my breath was during a stressful moment, when I lost all my senses, felt blank for a couple of moments. My thoughts were racing and also felt numb, and my chest felt tight, fearful. At that moment, unknowingly I took a long deep breath, suddenly my body was forcing me to take that breath. Then a nurse came, hugged me, gave me water, guided me through five minutes of slow, intentional breathing, inhaling slowly, deeply and exhaling fully. It was very subtle but I can say, it was a very powerful moment.

My body softened with breath. My mind quieted with time. Something shifted. Since then, I have returned to my breath in moments of dullness, low mood, transition, and even stillness. It has become a sacred anchor to my overall health. I am so grateful for everything in this life. Now, I am simply sharing this beautiful, powerful gift of Breath, freely given by the creator and nature, so others can experience it too, and begin their own journey of healing.
